Rejoicing in the Breakthrough!

THIS is the day that the Lord has made!

We WILL rejoice and be glad in it!

For He takes our sorrows and turns them to joy!

Where, oh death, is your sting?

For all we feel like doing is singing and rejoicing!

No, it doesn't look like we thought it would.

But like having a baby,

we don't get a say in the way it should

look. But look at things now!

It's so much more than we bargained for.

Oh! How we know it's You who brought us this far!

To You be the credit! For You be the applause!

You have been the Artist, the Genius behind it all!

You're brilliant, God! So amazing to see in action!

And amazing, too, that we have been able 

to watch You set in motion

this amazing sweep of goodness

from sea to shining sea!

YOU have done it, God!

May all rejoice and give You

ALL the credit, indeed!
