Living a Lie

Everyday we have a choice. We have a choice to live in the truth. Living in the truth means we acknowledge what God says is true and then we live our lives according to that truth. We do not deceive ourselves. We do not take what we want to be true and lie to ourselves all day long, convincing ourselves that our truth is THE TRUTH. We don't live in denial or in some sort of fantasy world where we decide for ourselves what is true. To do so is foolishness. I've heard horrific stories of murderers who tell themselves that their actions were justified, even good. They created their own truth and live inside the dark lie that they convinced themselves of. What a sad and terrible place! 

This is why God says that the truth will set you free! When you live a lie, the one who is held in bondage is you! It is a web, a trap! And the only way out is to break into the light of God's absolute truth! 

Don't let today pass you by. You have a choice to choose. Choose Truth. It will set you free.
