Born in the Dark, Shining in the Light
You go to bed one way and wake up another! Oh the sun is shining on each sister and brother! Warm rays of sunshine! Piecing through at dawn! A day of beauty enters as yesterday slips away, gone.
Tomorrow's sorrows are left behind. No bringing them into this new day of Mine! Why fret over things that are shadows in the mind? Open the shades of the windows and see how good I AM, so kind!
Yes, yesterday was dark and hard. But, some of the best things in life are grown under pressure and in the dark. Coal and diamonds. Both precious and good. But they are birthed out of hardship in their 'hood.
So, precious daughter, precious son,
don't overlook how your trials have helped you become
exactly who you need to be in the days and years ahead.
And never forget where you have come from.
The trials have brought humility
and that is a gift from above!
So, stay humble, dear one,
as you step out into the sun.

Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.
James 1:2-4 NLT

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
