Ooohh the loading sign. (*sigh*) It tells you that what you’re looking for is there!… but… not…quite…there. It’s at the threshold!…but… not...ready...to...enter. It’s on the brink of coming into view!… but still...holding...out...to show itself. Ugh!

We trust that it’s not playing games with us. We trust we’re just moments away…but sometimes those moments feel like an eternity! My husband calls the one that circles around, “the wheel of death” because it kills him to wait.  Haha!

Most of us understand this feeling when working with our electronics. Sometimes loading takes minutes, other times it literally takes hours! You keep coming back to check the screen and it still shows that it's loading! Good grief get on with it already! haha!

But, it's not that things are not in motion. Even by definition, it tells us that things are happening in the background -- we just don't see it! 

Do ever feel this way with your prayer requests? You've asked and God is answering, but all you see is a 'loading' sign. His response is YES! (But not yet.) The time is here! (But, just wait.) Get ready! (But, one moment please while we finish uploading what you need.) 

The struggle is not with the answer. The answer is "Yes! It's coming!" The struggle is with our own hearts. It's the delicate place of staying ever expectant (like it's going to happen any minute) and not falling into murmuring that it's taking too long or giving up altogether and shutting the whole thing down, just before the breakthrough. 

Let me tell ya, it can be a challenge! So how do we keep ourselves pure and in faith while we wait? 

Simple.

Be Thankful. 

Change your vocabulary. Change the conversations you're having with yourself. Instead of, "Why is this taking so long," say, "Thank you, Lord, that it's coming!" And instead of saying, "Maybe it will never happen after all," say, "God said it's coming. So it's coming!" Replace doubt declarations with faith declarations! And then praise Him for it!

Don't be the one who shuts off your computer seconds before it's done loading. You've waited too long to give up now! Be patient. Be thankful. Fill your mouth with worship. And consider this: maybe it's taking so long because God is setting you up for something so big it needs extra time to load! There's upgrades coming. Bigger things than what your computer is used to processing. 

So stay with it. The loading sign isn't meant to cultivate doubt. It's meant to spark hope!
