Tell Me! Oh, Tell Me! What Has God Created You to Be?

What is your purpose? What were you created for? Are you a hammer that can 'nail it'? Are you a sword that can slice it? Are you an ax that can be swung and hit the mark? Oh, tell me who you are! Do you know what you were created for?

What is your purpose? Are you like a kite that flies? Are you one who can take off like a plane in the sky? Or are you more earthbound, grounded (yet still free!).
Tell me, oh tell me! What has God created you to be?

Have you asked Him lately?
For how does a clay pot understand its function
unless its Potter gives it instruction?

And the same goes for you.
How will you know what to do
if you don't go back to your Maker
and see from His point of view?
For, it is easy to assume!
It's easy to think you are this way or that,
to base it on your own understanding
and not heavenly facts!

So, don't leave this poem without considering this:
God made you marvelous, beautiful and
He knows who you are for you are His!
So ask Him today.
Say, "Lord, who am I? How do you see Me? Give me Your eyes!"
And just as sure as the sun comes up in the sky,
He will answer that prayer and show you who you are
and where your identity lies.
