Consecration

I believe we are on the brink of a wealth transfer like we haven't seen since the time of Pharaoh and Moses. It's going to be spectacular for the people of the God. But, God is driving home this one point to me this morning: Remember Him. When God puts wealth, prosperity in your hands, don't forget Him. Don't be like the Israelites who walked out of Egypt with their silver and gold and immediately turned their spoils into idols (the golden calf!). And remember, it was Aaron, the priest, who lead the way! The person who should have lead the people to honor the Lord, lead them right into idolatry!

So, decide now. Decide now that when God blesses you with whatever it is that is coming to you (money, business opportunities, favor in your career, a new home...) that you do not forget Him! Do not forget where you came from. Do not forget who got you there. Do not forget the Lord!

Definition of Consecration: To consecrate something means to set it apart for a sacred or holy purpose and dedicate it to divine use. It can also mean to devote oneself or something entirely to a particular purpose, such as life to a cause.

Here's this morning's entry. It unfolded like a dialogue with God and His people.

The Father
Chocolate.
Rainbows.
Flowers
and Sunshine.
(All things wonderful!)
All of these are Mine. The earth is MINE and the meek inherit the mines! haha! Gold and silver! MINE. MINE. MINE. And, I give to whom I please!  (The earth does not belong to the evil ones to do their dirty deeds!)

His People
We step back a moment and ponder this: if the earth is the Lord's, all is His, then how shall we live in this land of goodness? We honor the Lord with our first fruits of plenty. We don't hold back and hoard what is His, for that would be a pity. A pity that our eyes do not see the bigger picture! That we are just stewards of everything He gives us!

The Father:
And do not hold back any good thing! For I don't ask My people to do anything that I'm not already doing. give generously. I do not withhold. And, so this is what I teach My children to do, this is what they are told.

His People:
And so this is what we shall do! We shall do as we see the Father do! We will not hold back! We will joyfully come under and honor Him with the first fruits when we surely plunder!

We will not be like the Israelites who took the gold from Egypt and made it into idols. We will honor the Lord! We will remember Him and give Him what is due Him in this land that surely belongs to Him! For if we hold back what is not ours to keep, it will surely dry up (and dry up fast!) or rotten or turn to rust at our feet.
