Positioned On Purpose For Purpose

Take a look around.

Where has God placed you? What has He given you? Has He opened doors for you in your career? Or has He given you a platform of influence? Or has He prospered you financially? Or has He blessed you in a way that gives you an advantage?

If He has, then you have the same decision to make as Esther did. Esther was strategically positioned by God to carry out a calling far greater than just living the privileged life of a queen. But she had to come to terms with that. She had to recognize that she was placed in her royal position “for such a time as this.” She had to decide if she would live her life just for herself, or wield her position to save a nation and yes, change history.

Take a moment today and ask God what advantages and platforms He has given you that He wants to use for eternal purposes. When we lose our life for His sake, we find it.

Mordecai sent this reply to Esther: “Don’t think for a moment that because you’re in the palace you will escape when all other Jews are killed. If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?”

Then Esther sent this reply to Mordecai: “Go and gather together all the Jews of Susa and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will do the same. And then, though it is against the law, I will go in to see the king. If I must die, I must die.” So Mordecai went away and did everything as Esther had ordered him.

If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine. If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it.
