The Relief of Spring

I wrote this poem this morning (The Relief of Spring), even as they are calling for rain and snow today (Friday) and a snow storm on Monday in my area of the country. haha. But isn't that the way? God always gets our eyes looking at HOPE... looking beyond what we see with our natural eyes and seeing the wonderful things He has planned. He never wants to see us stuck in despair! He never wants us to give up on Him! And even now, I can hear His encouragement...

Though the snow falls now, Spring is still on the way! Relief from your enemies is not to be delayed! It will come in at the proper time and the sun will overtake the frost! It will melt away your tears and sorrows and you will get back all that was lost! So don't worry about what your eyes see now or your ears are hearing from the television set. These reports are meant to scare you and keep you from moving into the land that is yours without cost! For, I have established victory for you and your people! So, don't give up now! Stay with Me, stay close. Spring is coming! Relief is nearing! And I will deliver you from all your foes!

The Relief of Spring 

JOY springs up! And we're alive! 

Oh, the frost is melting and we no longer stay inside. 

The cold, harsh winter has taken its toll. 

But, alas! The Spring! 

It comes in like a trumpeteer announcing its goal! 

Its goal to bring LIFE! 

Can you feel it? Can you smell it in the air? 

It feels like Spring 

and looks like Spring 

because it IS Spring, My dear! 

Now, take a deep breath 

and enjoy this new atmosphere!

Weeping may last 

through the night, but 

JOY 

comes with the morning.
