A Letter to the Weather
There's joy in the sun.
There's laughter in the rain.
Everyday is beautiful,
though the weather does change.
And though the forecast tries hard
to dictate how I feel,
I speak to the elements
and let them know the real deal.
I tell them,
"Rain clouds, you may weep,
but it doesn't mean that I should also.
And Wind! I won't be shaken when you blow, so closely listen.
"Though the earth itself be moved and rattled,
I will remain steady and at peace.
My joy is not dependent on you, oh Weather.
No! You can not dictate such things to me!"
