Fight the Good Fight
Here's this morning's raw entry. It's very simply put and a strong reminder to me that our war as Christians is not against other people (flesh and blood). It is against “evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6)
It's not against what we see, but what we DON'T see! Consider that! We have an invisible enemy that is absolutely real and ready to take us down. But thankfully, the power in us from God is greater than the devil (much greater!) But we need to be willing to pick up our tools and stand our ground as he comes against us and the people we know and love. We must fight against intimidation, distractions and fear -- all of these have been traps for me and keep me from praying!
God is saying this morning: PRAY. INTERCEDE. Use the sword of the Spirit in the authority He has given us. And never sacrifice your peace. Stay in His perfect peace, even as you wage war. Remember: We're on the winning team!

Pray. Intercede. Fight the good fight. Lean in to hear Me. Wage war according to My word. Put on that armor and trust Me.
Don't let your foot step outside the circle of peace. Don't wander away from Me. Be centered. Stay centered. Let unnecessary distractions go by. Master the art of coming to Me and staying in My presence.

A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion.
