It's Not Me, It's What's Inside
To Him who sits on the throne, be glory and honor and praise and power. Let no man steal Your thunder. NO. Let no man in this hour. We are just Your servants, Lord. Precious, holy vessels.
It's not usbut what is in usthat is poured out in and through us!
So may we let go and let YOU be
ALL You want to be.
Help us let You flow just perfectly, steadily.
Teach us how to swim in the flow of Your great majesty!
We don't have to push.
We don't have to make things happen.
Your Spirit does the work
as we step into holy action.
We watch with wonder as you do Your thing
and slowly realize that You are capable to handle even the big things!
We are just kids (though we are mighty, courageous and strong)
so we do not lose perspective, we stay hidden in your arms.
For You fight the battles as we partner with You.
You carry the weight of it as we understand this point of view.
***
You see, we don’t go around preaching about ourselves. We preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ. We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.
