An Extraordinary Friendship
The flavor of the Lord is bright and brilliant. He never comes with stale bread. He arrives with all things tasty. We are so well fed! Yes, every day is filled with wonder! His manna pours on our heads!
He gives us what we need, and each day is so unique. Sometimes He gives us intel
and other times He simply hugs us
because our hearts are broken at His feet.
And sometimes He gives us rainbows
and makes our mouths drop open.
His glory is too much for us
as He heals each hurt unspoken.
Sometimes, He's eager to show us things,
something new that day from His storehouse.
He wraps it like a gift, so excited to present it --
it glows as He brings it out!
And other times His Spirit just whispers
in the smallest, faintest voice.
It makes us lean in and find Him.
We seek to know Him -- by choice.
Oh, but He is not a boring Friend, for sure!
We never know what He will do and say.
He might even crack a joke or two
and remind us that laughter is always His way! haha!
And sometimes He comes with warnings
and even strong rebukes.
But even then it's filled with love!
His care for us it proves!
Oh, how our fellowship with Him
is more priceless than a pearl!
We never want to forsake it
for there is nothing else like it in all the world!
