No Better Place
Happy are those who run after You with their whole hearts!
Who can possibly make them happier, more joyful?
Who can prosper them like the Lord?
Who can fulfill their hearts' desire?
And, who can make things beautiful in its time and turn their sorrows into laughter?
You know how to take a seed and make it grow.
You know how to make a storm cloud come on the scene and make it snow.
You know all the ins-and-outs of everything on earth.
Oh, God! You alone deserve our praise!
You alone are the King of everything under, on and below the earth. We are amazed!
No one can take Your place, Oh God.
But somehow we forget You still.
We put our idols in front of You. We make other things more important than You, every moment of our life with them is filled.
Forgive us, Lord, for not making Your voice number one in our lives.
Bring us back to You, our First Love, and remind us what it means to be alive!
Oh, thank you God for stopping me and helping me hit pause.
You lift my head and let me see You and remind me of who You are.
For, there's no better place than right here in Your gaze.
Let no one or nothing ever, ever take Your place!
