When a Song is Born

We lean in to watch 

as the SONG breaks through

like a baby who's never been seen --

for she's brand new!

All eyes fill with wonder 

as the baby first enters.

She's sweet and ready 

to be loved like no other.

She has so much to give, 

even though she has needs.

But good parents don't mind 

spending their whole salary!

"I love her so much," 

they say over and over,

"I'll spend my whole life 

just getting to know her!"

She's more than just average, 

the parents agree.

They are eager to watch 

how she will reach and touch many!

Her words, her flow, 

her soft melody...

she's like a new gift 

one just keeps unwrapping!

And how careful they are

to make sure she is cared for.

No robber or thief 

can come in to steal her!

She is fully theirs

but also fully the Creator's,

so they surrender her back

into His bosom forever.
