Strands In Your Hands

We are like strands in Your hands, ready to be braided. 

You entwine us with You and with each other. 

You make our lives beautiful as we surrender and bend to Your purposes, 

Your vision for the braid. 

We are not proud and do not need special highlighting, 

for we know that what makes the braid so beautiful 

is the working together of all parts. 

We are beautiful alone, 

but a collective work of art when intertwined together. 

May we be willing to bend in Your hands, Lord, 

as you pull us together to make something beautiful.
