When The Worry Makes You Weary

I place my head in Your palm.
Oh, the rest that I feel as I let go of my cares.
Your strong hand is enough to hold me
as I then put all my weight in Your arms, I rest all of it there.

"Why is it that these cares feel so heavy to me
but to You they are light as feathers?" I ask.

"Because I did not create you to carry them," My daughter, "You were created to be free from these cares you must now cast.

"Back in the Garden, when Adam and Eve lived, the world was not filled yet with sin. I created My world and Adam and Eve, without all this worry and anxiety. Their bodies lived free from the heavy load. See, your body was not designed to handle what you tow."

"Oh, I see. That makes sense to me. No wonder why fear and anxiety are so hard on me. They are like a sickness, a disease."

"Yes! They are! They are like germs in the air. And your body must fight them when they come near. They creep into your arms and into your legs. They take residence like they own the place! But, here is the hope for you this day...

"I can take the weight! All you must do is not agree with them. Do not partner with these so-called-friends. They make themselves seem like a necessity in your day, as if without them you don't really care about the things that take place. But they lie and lie! Worry is not your friend! And fear only puts you into a prison! So as soon as you feel them creep on your skin, push them off like poison! And if they happen to make their way in, come immediately to Me and unload all of them!"

I take a deep breathe and feel the relief. "OH, GOD thank you! How you care for me and help me see! Forgive me for not coming sooner and laying all these things at Your feet. Thank you for being willing to set me free! Here I am, Lord. I rest here and leave with You all my anxieties."
