The Three Swords

Sometimes God uses dreams to speak to us. Like this one night very recently...

The Lord showed me 3 large pictures. They were like large framed posters. The first two were very dark, painted with black and brown colors. They both had a picture of a sword on them. 

Then the Lord brought up a third framed picture with a sword on it, as well. But this picture radically contrasted the other two. This picture was ‘colored’ in pure, bright, blinding light. It was so brilliant! So white and so much light! The power of the light overpowered the other two dark pictures.

     Without asking Him, I knew each picture represented a season of life and that we were now coming out of the first two (darker seasons) and into the third (beautiful, brilliant, glorious season). 

     But I said to the Lord, “What do the swords mean?”

     And He responded, “The first two swords were for defense. The third sword is for offense!”

You drove out the pagan nations by your power and gave all the land to our ancestors. You crushed their enemies and set our ancestors free. They did not conquer the land with their swords; it was not their own strong arm that gave them victory. It was your right hand and strong arm and the blinding light from your face that helped them, for you loved them.
