No More Feeble & Broke

This is this morning's raw entry as I'm reading through the great Exodus (in the book of Exodus) right now. It does strike me that the Israelites did not come out of their oppression broke and feeble. No! They came out wealthy and strong! What?! Only God. 

Many of us, though we do not literally live in Egypt this way, can relate to the oppression God's people felt for sooo many years. We understand, in modern terms, a slavery lifestyle -- ever working but never seeming to get anywhere -- under the thumb of our creditors. But, I believe just as God set His people free from Egypt, so He will do it again! In faith, I believe that He is about to make one of the greatest moves in history and set us free from a lifestyle of slavery -- the only lifestyle we have ever known because we were born into it. 

And we will come out triumphant. We will not come out feeble and broke. We will come out with spoils in our hands!

Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I say, REJOICE! For GREAT is the wealth that is laid up for YOU and you will certainly see it and be amazed!

Know this about Me, sweet child, My darling. I don't just deliver My people out -- I SEND THEM OUT. You are not a victim. You have been trained and refined in the fire. And now you come out as pure gold! 

And remember, I do not rescue you just so you can continue to live as a slave. NO! Even when I delivered My people out of Egypt, they came out like an army! They came out with the spoils of their captors! They came out triumphant! haha! And so dear darling, as you emerge from your captors lairs, be ever aware that you are not a victim, but a warrior. And you come into the Promise Land not as a slave, but as a Free Man. And you will establish the land. You will prosper in it! And you will help create heaven's atmosphere on earth!

The Lord caused the Egyptians to look favorably on the Israelites, and they gave the Israelites whatever they asked for. So they stripped the Egyptians of their wealth! … So all the people of Israel followed all the Lord’s commands to Moses and Aaron. On that very day the Lord brought the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt like an army.
