I Used to Wander (with Reel)
Have you ever thanked God for His discipline in your life? I have! Oh, how I relate to this Psalm when it says, “Before I was afflicted, I went astray.” Another version says: “I used to wander off until you disciplined me; but now I closely follow your word.”
But listen, this has nothing to do with condemnation. It has to do with God being a good Father to us. It has to do with Jesus being a good Shepherd over us. His rod and His staff comfort us. His discipline and guidance and correction over our lives only proves our sonship & daughtership in his kingdom and His great love for us! And in the end, we are better for it! God is good and He ONLY does good!

You have dealt well with Your servant, O Lord, according to Your word. Teach me good judgment and knowledge, For I believe Your commandments. Before I was afflicted I went astray, But now I keep Your word. You are good, and do good; Teach me Your statutes. It is good for me that I have been afflicted, That I may learn Your statutes.
