The Gift Called 'Today'

Every day is a mystery that unfolds like a gift.

First you pull the bow 

and then you grab the wrapping.

It's just marvelous! 

With expectation in your heart

you keep on breaking it open.

You know that something good is there, 

so there's no hesitation!

The gift inside is sometimes large

and easy to decipher. 

But other days the gift is hidden,

but you just keep pulling

that paper and ribbon!

You don't give up until you perceive it,

for the gift is always there!

So don't think your Father forgot

and let your heart sink in despair!

His gifts are beautiful and right on time,

every Day is something different.

So never stop opening the gift called Today. 

For Today has been crafted 

in the most beautiful, glorious way!

This is the day the Lord has made. 

We will rejoice and be glad in it.
