Morning Praise

Glory to God in the highest who is ever on the throne! He will never lose His position, His crown. His name holds all power. And He will strike the back of the enemy for all things are under His feet! And He gives the scepter to His children as we go in His name. 

How great and how mighty He is! Who is like Him in all the world! Who can say that they know how to make all things?? Who is Your equal, oh God! You lay out the heavens for all of us to see, like an artist with a canopy. You don't hold back in all Your splendor. You don't apologize for being who You are. I'm so full of wonder!! 

You make and create - it is what You do! And You are enamored by humans, keeping them always in view. We are Your finest creation! We are the ones You lavish all your attention and affection! You love us beyond what we even comprehend. But because of deception, we have believed You only condemn. We have believed that You are far from us and not loving at all. We have believed that we will never live up to Your expectations at all. All lies! For we are the apple of Your eye, oh God! And to show us, You sent Your only Son to die...that we might be saved, that we might be healed, that we might know what it is like to live in Your shelter and under Your shield. You set us free and set us on fire and then send us out to the many who are in dire -- dire need for You, too — just as we needed You. We go and we give them the remedy. And that remedy is YOU.
