More Powerful Than We Think

The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, not of THIS world. No, we grab from the unseen and pull it into reality! Our words become weapons as we pull down mighty strongholds. Our faith packs a punch, our ammunition is reliable!

So why get caught up with arguments and confusion? Why think the way out is through madness and dissention? Why think that your strength will scare away the devil? He laughs at those who come at him -- without Jesus we're not able!

BUT with Him we are MIGHTY!

With Him?

OH what a different story! 

We come like giants in the land who sweep up devils with one hand! 

We are stronger than the superheroes we think so highly of. 

We come with unseen arrows, bows and spears.

We come with the power that every devil fears!

They shake! They quiver! They beg for mercy:

"Oh will you just leave us! Have nothing to do with me!"

See, the same Jesus that walked on the water

is the same one living in us!

And greater things will we do as we humbly take up our cross!

We die to self and live to Christ --

this power we have was purchased with a price!

And every demon knows just what this power holds.

And they're just hoping we don't awake

and become of aware of this power --

this power that makes them quake & shake!

They're hoping we don't see!

That it's Christ in us -- the hope of glory! 

They want to keep us amused, distracted,

sleeping, unaware of the fiery weapons we fight with!

Oh, Church let us arise! For the day, the hour has come!
No more slumber, no more sleeping!
Wake up! For His Kingdom comes!

A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 

Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
