This Is What It Means To Rest

You are My precious child made from My heart, My love.

I crafted you. I acted with precision.

I was precise, for I knew what I was doing when I made you.

You were not an accident.

And now I carry you, with love, in My arms.

I carry you. So I carry anything you carry. 

I take on the weight of it. Do you see?

You're the little one in my arms whom I carry around.

You are my little child.

And I will not let you down.

I will not put you down from my arms, 

and I will not let you down.

Feel the strength in My chest as you rest here.

Let out a deep sigh of relief because I am here

and I've got you.

Let your weight go completely; allow your body to hang completely on Me.

Don't try to hold yourself up in My arms. It's unnecessary effort.

I really am strong enough. So there's no need to feel self conscious that you're too heavy. This is what it means to rest.

Take a deep breath in.

This is what it means to rest.

Exhale all the way.

This is what it means to rest.

I love you.

This is what it means to rest.

Pile your troubles on God’s shoulders— he’ll carry your load, he’ll help you out.
